1. we are so glad it's cold enough now in california to at least
have hot chocolate..even if there is no snow.
2. how have i never thought of adding toffee chips to chocolate chip cookies??
as you can imagine, it is heavenly! i will never make regular
chocolate chip cookies again after tasting these...and
yes we ate half the dough before baking them.
3. last week we got to have dinner at google headquarters in one of
their restaurants...perks of living in silicon valley, and
perks of having a friend with a cool job!

4. genius way to clean the blender..since we make green smoothies every single
morning, we've figured out it's much easier to rinse it with hot water right away,
pour dish soap in, and blend it all around to wash it really quick!

what a GENIUS way to clean the blender!!
ReplyDeleteHey...I tried making your sugar cookies last night. The dough was somewhat wet and I couldn't roll it out for shapes, so I made them drop-style. They were still delicious, but I'm wondering what I did wrong. Should I have refrigerated it?
ReplyDeleteoh no! i have no idea what went wrong..this recipe doesn't need to be refrigerated, and my batch of dough was actually super dry until i mixed it really well. hmm! did you leave out any ingredients maybe? sorry about that!
DeleteI made it with 3 cups of flour instead of 3.5 that you listed. After 3, the dough was starting to rise up and twist around on my mixer's beaters. But this might have been my fault because I did use a bowl that was a bit small. I will add that last half-cup next time.
Deleteblender idea is awesome. the.end
ReplyDeleteToffee is my absolute favorite! How did I not think to put in into cc cookies before?!
