there is no way to put into words how amazing
san francisco fleet week is. it truly needs to be on
every single person's bucket list to see one day!
we loved it, and loved seeing so many friends
who were in the city this weekend for it!
first the ships come in under the bridge to watch the planes...this huge one was our favorite, and if you look close you can see that the entire crew was out on the deck waving as it came in!
good solid salt lake crew right here
unbelievable!
this plane was probably my favorite..it's a stealth bomber that radar can't detect..
it is so thin and once it goes past, you can't even really see it anymore!
it looked like a james bond plane from the future flying around.
so many crazy tricks..we were by an announcer who would patch
in the pilots over the loud speaker as he was doing crazy tricks..
it was so cool to hear them from the air!
classy SF cops on horses
we took a lunch break on the wharf for a classic clam chowder bread bowl.
one of the craziest moments was when they flew a boeing 747 low across the wharf!
the crowds were crazy but we had a perfect spot right in the middle.
this is definitely the ideal spot to watch fleet week, because the announcer is right here by ghiradelli/next to the maritime museum, so he explains every plane and manuever!
so fun to watch with hannah our best TFA friend!
these planes flew right over us as this picture was taken so we were scared to death!
these pictures don't even come close to doing it justice...maybe i'll have
to put up one or two of the videos we took so you can see the speed & sound!
the best part of this weekend was all the friends we got to see.
we loved having di & ted staying with us! best guests!
wish they lived here with us!
also bumped into these cute girls in union square..
and got to see my cousin and our family friends! love seeing familiar faces here..
happy monday!
XO
That looks so cool! Do all the people from Salt Lake live there or were they just there for fleet week?
