pie face nyc

happy friday! today we have a feature on:
pie face.
don't you love the name the second you hear it?
this major australian chain has come to NYC!
it's hard to miss any one of the seven locations throughout the city.
they stand out with the cute little pie sign, and you can stop in for a quick
lunch, treat, or hot drink. we went to the union square location for this feature,
but stopped by a couple of others throughout our trip as well. it's hard to resist!
you can see what kind each pie is by looking at the letter of their mouth...
a is apple, b is blueberry, c is cherry, etc. they have a pear-ricotta that i loved.
they have savory pies as well as sweet, so you can get lunch and a treat!
this picture above shows their famous "stack" which is a savory pie stacked
with mashed potatoes, gravy, and a side. i love the presentation and it was delicious.
we had hot chocolate {and loved it}, but they are also really well-known
for their australian coffee. apparently it has a more pure taste, so if you
don't like all the sugar and sweetener in your coffee, you'll love this.
we visited on halloween, and i loved that the manager was dressed
up and the whole place was so festive. they have this fun wheel outside of
their store for people to spin and win some free pie! greatest idea.
^^ can't stand the cuteness // deliciousness
^^i took a little mini pecan pie to-go for my southern boy

we recommend this place to everyone visiting NYC.
it's great for an on-the-go lunch or snack in the city that never sleeps!
thanks again, pie face!
we'll be sure to visit you when we make it to australia {one day}.
