the art of a bed & breakfast

i think it should be on everyone's new year's resolution
list to visit a bed & breakfast this year. just for a night.
a good bed & breakfast is a lost art, and i was reminded
how lovely they are when we stayed in the cutest
cottage inn & spa last weekend. there's nothing
quite like feeling at home while you're away,
which is exactly what a bed & breakfast does.
the cottage inn and spa definitely has the art
of a bed & breakfast down. we loved our stay!
this place is steps off sonoma square, so it's an ideal
location where you can have fun exploring town
and then walk back to your darling little cottage just
off the square. after exploring up north in kenwood
for the first part of our stay, we loved coming right
into sonoma, exploring the square, and
staying in the cutest bed & breakfast in town.
^^ the rooms are stocked with
juice, cereal, coffee and fruit,
and breakfast is delivered in a
little basket to your door in
the morning...heavenly!
i love beds, and i love breakfast.
so i double love staying at a good
bed & breakfast. this one was fabulous.
not only is the cottage inn & spa
so charming, it is in a great location
--- like i said, right off the square,
and close to great hikes, wineries, anything
you're interested in! we did the sonoma
overlook hike and loved that the
trailhead was within walking distance.
while i hiked further, chase went back
to the cottage inn to get the nicest
massage...another perk of this place
is the amazing spa! chase loved it.
the days were sunny and warm, but
it cools off fast at night! luckily
this place has a "fire & ice" room
that is amazing! they close all the doors
to this courtyard and light the fire,
so after our incredible dinner at
the girl & the fig and our movie
date, we came back and soaked in
this warmth. so pretty!
haha, loving that fire.
^^ hubby, you're handsome.
and our room had a cozy little
tea light fireplace..darling.
thank you, cottage inn & spa
for a lovely stay! we'll be back!
xo

  2. Um, when can I move in to this B&B?! Absolutely stunning! I love how tucked away it feels with all those vines. And I would never say no to a welcome basket filled with muffins. What a wonderful weekend escape! We've used AirBnB several times in our travels and it has made our travels so much more enjoyable.
