lovely lisbon

lisbon, lisbon, lisbon. there will probably be
very few words in this post, because lisbon
honestly left us speechless. the hills, the trolleys,
the colorful buildings, the people...this city is one
of our new favorites and actually reminded us of
our own city of san francisco. it's a must-visit!
^^ the early morning flight to lisbon...the sky was full of
pastels just like the streets of lisbon would be. i already
knew i would love this city just from the flight there!
^^ easily my favorite street in all of lisbon.
we discovered this while wandering through
the bairro alto neighborhood, and we sat here
forever just taking in the view and watching
the tram go up & down the steep street. loveee!
i love traveling with this boy.
there is nothing better. truly!
it's the reason we work so hard
so that we can do things like this together.
okay..i get it. enough of this street already!
if you go to portugal, you have to get a pastel de nata..
or two, or three...they are the yummiest portuguese
cream custard tarts that we got a few {too many} times
a day. yummy! they are everywhere, you can't miss them!
^^ stop for some snacks. calories don't count while traveling!
chocolate croissant + you guessed it, another pastel de nata
we love everything about you, lisbon.
more posts from this lovely place to come!

  2. Your photos yet again are stunning!! When you get back you should do a post on how you pack for trips like this!! Also, how long are you spending in each city/country? Do you find that's enough time? Happy Weekend!

    1. i will have to do another packing post, this time we tried to pack really light so it was a challenge! we've just had a few days in each city, with the right planning {and renting vespas} it has been enough with the limited time we have off! XOXO

  3. I loved lisbon when I was there! I got a giggle when all the trash cans say Obrigada :) thanks for the trip down memory lane! Not a huge fan of the custards but its probably because i grew up with them at every family function!

  13. Love your pictures! Do you have any camera preferences or tips for taking great vacation photos? Do you use a tripod or just ask people to take your picture? Going to Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia in 6 weeks and want to take amazing photos while there! Thanks!

    1. you're so nice! lisbon was such a pretty place it was easy to get good photos! i should do a post on our favorite lenses // photo taking tips on trips, but we just love our canon rebel T4i and we have a macro lens i love. we don't bring a tripod because it takes up packing room, so we are not shy about asking strangers to take them! i usually set it up how i want and just tell them haha. that trip sounds AMAZING!!! xo
