today we fly home for a quick weekend visit..
we can hardly wait!
a few things we're excited for:
- cafe rio
- playing with maddie, tagg, will, lauren & kate
- taking kona for a run
- spending time with our families

- the mountains
- a canyon run
- the utah-byu game
- the beginning of fall leaves
- cafe rio
- taking family pictures
- linda's sweet rolls
- seeing friends for a second in the 48 hours we are home
- reuniting with paris!!
- getting some items we forgot and desperately need {like nalgenes, the rest of our dishes, some coats, bike rack.....will all of that fit on the plane???}
- did i mention cafe rio??
- seeing our parents!
salt lake city will always be
our home, but right now we have a different home
out here in the bay area. so i've realized that although
some days i miss it so much, we are the luckiest to
be experiencing a different place and making it our home.
**...but here's to still eventually ending up in salt lake! {hint hint to husband}

this post is exactly how I feel... on a good day. haha I miss SLC so much! The mountains! Cafe rio! family. fall weather. I miss it all. But I am grateful for this experience to be somewhere new together with my best friend. I am so jealous you get to go home though! Eat some yummy food for me and take a good look at those mountains! and go cougars ;)

I miss my home state of NY so much (it's where all my fam and friends are) but when we do go back to visit it makes the time we have with our loved ones that more special/memorable. I hope you have a great time...it definitely looks like you have a lot to look forward to! :)
ReplyDeleteOH I just love your blog colors/design. I absolutely love your clever 'about us' description. I'm from Utah too and miss it a lot. We've been in AZ for 12 years now but we're FINALLY moving back in June. I doubt we'll end up there but who knows....I love a good adventure. Looking forward to checking out your blog.
