this blog is a place i like to document our life,
and also show great food, places, and hotels
when i really really love them. this is something
i've always loved to do-- write down favorite
places when i travel and then share them.
i did this even before i had this blog,
i get to share them. whenever we travel we
love to highlight our favorite finds,
and of course we want to share local
favorites + new discoveries right here
in SF. so i hope it's clear that i would
never show anything unless i LOVE it
and think people have to know about it!
this is how i feel about the hidden gem
i am so glad i took my parents to this fun + delicious
pizza food truck in the bayview district of san francisco.
i had heard about it and spoken with the owner
kristin a few times, but had never been. i knew it
would be a fun place to stop for lunch with my parents
it was a perfect, sunny day-- just right to have some
delicious pizza outside. kristin and her husband matt
live in the bayview district of the city and wanted to
help make it even better. they've done this by bringing
great food, a fun atmosphere, and revitalizing the
street corner as the area itself makes a comeback.
the neighborhood loves them, and so does the rest
of the city! it is a cool little lot with the pizza cooked
in a food truck, lots of unique tables, and succulents
to decorate. the whole place has the best vibe. i love
that matt + kristin run it together and make it so
personal! chase, want to open a food truck with me?? :)
we had the mushroom pizza + the margherita, both
equally great. the pizzas are so fresh and made
with organic ingredients. you really can taste a
difference and in my opinion, things taste
better when they are made in a food truck!
^^ this kale salad might have won the whole meal. this would make anyone love kale. so incredibly fresh with a meyer lemon vinaigrette (mmmmm!) and the most generous shavings of grana padano. wow. i would come every day
for this salad, and it paired so well with the pizza!
all good has made hunter's point / bayview
completely different, and their pizza rivals the
best places in the city...without the 3 hour wait
and impossible parking of places like delfina.
come here for a casual, relaxed, sunny lunch
{it's always warmer in bayview!}. they are currently
only open during the day because of their
outdoor seating, so you have to work around
that..but it's definitely worth it!
they've honestly made it feel like a
backyard party with friends! so fun.
^^here are the owners kristin + matt with their
pizzaiolo and best friend boz. what a great
crew providing some great pizza to this city.
thank you guys! we will be back soon and hope
to see lots of our san francisco readers there too :)
if you're not in san francisco, put this on your list
& tell me your favorite local pizza joint where you live!
xo
